Hong Kong! (Part 1)

Yup! I'm back from HK, people!!

This will be a looong post with lotsa pics! And there will be more pics to come cos I'm waiting for my new friends to send it to me. So, just bear with this post.

Hong Kong... ahh, its a gorgeous place. Its a city with so many beautiful bright lights at night. It captivated me.

The first day at HK was not eventful really, cos by the time we reached the hotel, it was about 9-10pm at night. We missed the briefing but I had good news. Ehehe...I got myself a single room!!

Yay! This was due to some misundertanding cos the organisers thought that Ms Angeline would not be staying with us but it turned out that she will. So the hotel management had to re-arrange us and they gave me a single room! The sluts had to share a room and when I went to their room, aiyoyo...kesian... it was much more smaller and not as bright as mine.

*laughs with glee*

There! I even had a greeting waiting for me in my OWN room, with MY NAME! ^_^

Camwhoring in my OWN room! Hee hee...

View from my room too!

Yesss...its so just great!

Neway, the next day was the general round of the moot. Went to the HK Convention Centre and was shown to the waiting room where other teams were seated round their own little tables. The atmosphere was tensed cos everyone was nervous. There were teams from Nepal, Russia, HK, China, Korea, Sri Lanka, India, Philippines etc.

Umm, no leng chais, in case any of u were wondering.

When its finally our turn to moot, went into the courtroom etc. etc. yada yada... Please forgive the gibberish but I'm sure that u won't want me to bore you with the itty gritty details of what happened in the moot. I mean, its just mooters standing on the podium to present their speech and take some shit from the international judges. Other than that, there's nth interesting in the general round.

At last, lunch time! Note the sharp distinction in the organisation of events in Malaysia and HK. In Malaysia, lunch is served buffet style; lousy fried rice with spicy beef with texture like rubber and overcooked vege, watery tea or coffee and no dessert. But HK - I have to say, they went all out!

Lunch is a grand occassion. We were seated in round tables which fits ten each. The menu was set but oh man, if I'm not mistaken, I think we're being catered to by a high class restaurant! There's so many cutlery at the table til I don't even know which is which! And when u reach the table, the waiter would pull up the chair for you, and unfold the napkin and ask whether you would like tea or coffee. And the food - oh my God! Its delicious! There were appetizers, main courses and desserts! Yum! And the food were artistically arranged and decorated; it was so pretty that I did wonder how should I eat it!

One of the main course - Looks good and tastes great!

One of the desserts. Pretty, isn't it?

There were some kiwi at the place where I my fork is - ate it before deciding to take the pic, ehehe...

CHOCOLATES!!!!! They gave us these at the end of every lunch and it was heavenly! *drools*

After the general round, we were taken to The Peak of HK for dinner. In case any of you dunno, its the top of the mountain/hill (whatever) of HK. We went up there by the "world's steepest tram" and its no wonder why they call it that cos sitting in the tram on the way up, you will notice that the buildings seemed to be in a 45 degree position! Its definitely a new experience! Everyone was ooh-ing and ahh-ing and clicking away, it was quite funny.

Once we reached The Peak, omigosh! The view was absolutely breathtaking! Have you ever seen HK at night with all its splendid lights? Its a first for me and I spent a solid 10 minutes rooted at the spot, gazing at the marvelous panorama before me... My oh my...

In the tram on the way to The Peak

I simply had to take a pic with such beautiful background!

The entire (well, almost) view of HK at night. My cam does not do it justice!

Dinner was at the Zen Restaurant. I think its a high ended place cos once I opened the menu, I noticed that a single drink costs at least $78. But since the dinner was fully paid for, I ordered as I liked. Muahaha!! That was a great cocktail...

But the fun was short-lived cos a bombshell was dropped on us. HK, Sri Lanka and both the Malaysian teams made it into the semi final. Shit. There goes our booze night.

Me with the Sri Lanka team

The next day was semi-final in the morning and the final in the afternoon. We went up against HK University, which I have to say is a very strong team, surprisingly. They even speak perfect English; which is so totally off from the general perception of Hong Kees! But their coach is an 'angmo' with a phD...hmmm...

Fast forward - after the moot between UiTM and Sri Lanka (Taylor's were in the first moot) the results were announced and Taylor's and HK were the finalists!! Is it good or bad? U decide... For me, people close to me would know what that means~

Fast forward again - HK won!! Woohoo!! They deserve it though. They were really good and their rebuttal speech sure whacked The Sluts' butts! Gong Xi Fa Cai, Selamat Hari Raya, Tadau Tagazo do Kaamatan etc. to them! Haha!

Gloomy HK weather

That night, one of the organisers recommended that we check out the night life. He suggested that we go to Soho and get a good meal in a nice restaurant, then proceed to Lan Kwai Fong and take a look at the famous HK nightlife area - where the clubs and pubs are, and finally if we still have the energy, to Wan Chai.

Sounds exciting, isn't it?

*sigh*

I wanted to go but as usual, it was 3 against 1. They were not keen on checking out the nightlife of HK. Stupid bitches! If I knew earlier, I would've joined the China team who actually invited me to join them to those places!

What the hell, we ended up in Causeway Bay for dinner. Perhaps all is not lost and I could do some souvenir shopping there. Oh oh, I must say that Causeway Bay was sooo bright! The lights were just awesome! Its as if it was in the daytime although it was actually at night. That's how bright those light were!

I didn't even had to use night mode for my cam!

So during dinner, we discussed our plans for the next day and we decided to go to Wong Kok where the Ladies' Market is (lotsa stuff and with great bargains), do our shopping there and at night, go to the Avenue of Stars where there we'll be able to see the pretty light shows of HK.

Since we got it all planned out, we decided to do our souvenir shopping the next day instead and we just walked around Causeway Bay. Quite a waste of time, really. That's the sluts for you.

Then, on our way back to the hotel we took the tram. It was cute.

The tram and the driver posing ever so manly there! haha...

Me in the tram!

Next morning, guess what. Change of plans again. Apparently, we had to return to the Convention centre for the prize giving ceremony. And we couldn't to Wong Kok cos the Ladies' Market only opens at 1pm and we had to be at the Convention by 3pm.

*curses them like shit*

So, the three of them graciously informed me that we would be going to...

Take a wild guess.

Go on, guess!

Give up? Oh, ok. They informed me that we would be going to the museum~

*Vomits blood*

Of all the places, a MUSEUM?! What the fuck!? Trying to act all cultured and classy now eh? I'm sorry; but once a Slut, always a Slut. Fuck them all!

If only I met the Koreans earlier cos after I returned from the darn museum, we bumped into each other and they actually invited me to go sightseeing with them! Right in front of the sluts as if they were invisible!

Nyahaha... That made my day although I told them I couldn't cos I had to go to the Convention. What a waste. I'm sure that I would have a much better time with the Koreans instead of with the sluts.

Back to the museum story, thanks to them, I met with another pervert.

The guy next to me is the fucking monkey-faced pervert!

What happened was, I was looking at the changing currency of HK throughout the times when he suddenly asked me if I could help him take his pic. After I helped him take his pic he asked where I'm from and introduced himself. Then he asked whether he could walk with me in the museum. I said yes but informed him that I would have to leave soon cos I had to go to the Convention.

The conversation went like this:

Me : I have to leave by 1.45pm.

Perv : Har? Why so early? Don't leave so early la. Accompany me a little while longer la.

Me : I can't. I really have to leave by then. But we can still walk around now. Let's continue walking ok?

Perv : Ok. Btw, can you give me ur phn number?

Me : What?! U wanna call me? But it would cost a lot cos its an international call. Nah, I think its better that we just exchanged emails.

Perv : But my English is bad.

Me : Don't worry. Malaysian english isn't that great either.

Perv : Would your boyfriend get mad if I called you?

Me : Him? Oh, no. He's not the angry type.

Gotta lie about the boyfriend part cos at this point, I started getting suspicious of this ape-faced meatball.

After a while, he asked me whether he could take a pic with me. I said yes. Then he asked if he could put his hand on my shoulder. I was like "uhh..ok".

Oh my God. Normally, a guy would just put his hand lightly on the girl's shoulder but this one, he actually grabbed my shoulder tightly and pushed his head close to mine! He's really in need of a bath. He stinks.

Anyhow, I was kinda shocked and wasn't too happy with it but I gave him the benefit of the doubt (perhaps HK guys take pics like this?) and took the pic anyway. So if you looked back at the picture above, you will see that I was really uncomfortable.

Then I realised that I was running late cos the time was 1.44pm. So I told him I had to go and he was like "oh, don't go! Accompany me a little while more please!". I told him no, cos I really had to go. I didn't know where the exit was and asked him where it was.

Stupid move, really cos he did not take me to the exit. He actually took me to other exhibits! The son of a bitch! When I wanted to leave, he finally said that he'll show me the exit but can he please have a final pic with me.

I stupidly agreed to take the final pic in exchange for the direction to the exit.

Dammit. It was really a bad move.

Perv : Can I kiss you in the pic?
Me : NO!

Perv takes pic and nevertheless tries to kiss me

Me : [angry] What did you do? I said NO!
Perv : I'm sorry. I thought you said yes.
Me : My boyfriend would be really really angry! Delete this pic now!

Luckily, the friggin pervert deleted the pic right in front of me and I just walked off.

I was fuming but at the same time feeling so damn thankful that nothing worse happened.
