who turned 21?

It was our beloved Maria. On the 14th of December.

Alamak. Wrong picture. I meant this Maria!

Rawr!!!

LOL. Just kidding, Maria!

Anyway, we had a surprise for her. But she found out that Aaron and Tom were her surprise guests, due to some confusion and misunderstanding. Damn wtf lor. Luckily that didn't spoil anything and she was still happy. Secara kesimpulan, we had a great meal!

Maria and Aaron

K la, k la. This is what they look like

Tom

Since it was Maria's big day, we had no choice but to let her bully us.

*tears*

The big-sized Aaron squealed in fear when confronted with Maria's fork

Ah Ma's miserable little flag couldn't save her from the chilli bottle

Eh! How did this get here?

See, see. Hard evidence. I'll let you in on a secret. Her victims had fun being terrorised by our darling Maria! They were begging for more! Hmmm... this doesn't sound right.

Erm, moving on! We went to Wetherspoon's for a drink after that! That's where Maria got her pressie from us!

With her Miss Selfridge gift card

And her 'tipu' birthday cake

And also some blue alcoholic drink

Since we celebrated Xiao Di's bday on the same day as Maria's, naturally, he got his present and bday cake as well!

Another 'tipu' bday cake

His pressies - a not-so-clean bday card and men cologne.

No, its not that Xiao Di smells that we gave him cologne as a present. Its just that, he doesn't use one and we figured, time for him to smell like a man! Well, ok. He smells.

The real fun began when we returned to Wessex for another drinking session. This time we played a drinking game called Ring of Fire.

Losers take shots!

How to play:
1) Shuffle a deck of cards and spread it across the table
2) Each person takes a card in turn.
3) Tasks depend on the card.

So here's what each card represents:
  1. Numbers 1-5 are safe cards. Players do not have to do anything.
  2. Card with number 6 - toilet pass. Players with toilet pass may sell or request those that need to use the pass to do something in exchange for it.
  3. Cards with number 7 - the BANGLA game. Players begin counting, starting from the number 1. Whenever the digit has a number 7 (ie. number 17) or is a multiple of 7, the player has to go "Bangla!"
  4. Cards with number 8 - the category game. The player who drew this card must start with a category of something, ie. car brands. The rest of the players must then come up with brands of cars.
  5. Cards with number 9 - the fruit game. The player must say the name of a fruit. The next player in turn must then repeat the name of the previous player's fruit and come up with his own fruit name, and so on. The list of fruits grows longer with each player.
  6. Cards with number 10 - set a rule. The player who drew this card may set a rule (ie. no one is allowed to say the word "wait")
  7. The Jack card - centerpool. The player who drew this card may pour in any drink of any amount into a specific glass. The glass is then kept aside.
  8. The Queen card - dare card. The player who drew this card gets to dare anyone to do anything.
  9. The King card - unlucky. The players who drew the first three Kings are safe. However, the player with the last King card must finish the contents of the centerpool glass.

Simple and fun. Deadly too. After all, the main aim of this game is to get people drunk and who knows what crazy shit drunk people do. Do you? Well... sad to say, I will not be writing about what went on in the game. It has been agreed that what went on that night, remained there.

So, sorry. Its a secret. But if you bribe me... Ahem.

the great Xmas dinner

This is the first time I am celebrating Xmas away from home. It feels sad cos my family is not with me. But to make up for it, we organised our own great Xmas feast! We invited everyone who stayed back in Wessex and everyone helped to make this feast a roaring success!!!

^_^

Well, to set the mood, Ah Ma and Da Jie decorated the TV room! They had the guys carry 2 dinner tables from separate kitchens down to the TV room for our big feast!

Nice arrangements of wine glasses - the wine came later!

twisted

Was blog-surfing and stumbled upon this very interesting post --> Thoughts of a Penis.

Hmmm... its disturbingly enlightening. So that's what goes through its mind. The Kleenex part was funny though. So that's how they do it.... Ooohhhh~

Give it a read if you have nothing better to do.

loves

I am so totally in love with my new eyeliner! Its a kohl eyeliner, not ur usual black one. Its THE eyeliner to use for super black eyelines (think Avril Lavigne) and also to create smoky eyes.

That's kohl for u

I only forked out £4.49 for it --> nice and cheap! And I love how it came with a brush to help me smudge it without looking like I crawled outta a bar fight.

Love, love, loves!!!

Day wear

To the genius who invented kohl, the entire female population is greatly indebted to u! We love kohl!

we're famous!

Living in a student dorm, life gets pretty interesting! And now, my hall of residence, Wessex made it to BBC news! We're famous!

Kudos to Maria and Ah Ma who managed to recognise one of the people in the video. She was obviously so pissed.

Check it out! The Famous Wessex

I hated the kids though.
"You can't actually get to sleep cos of the noise and the swearing and stuff."
He's asking for a good slap on the face lor. Talked like a sissy. Ngiao. You're a male. Act like one.

Anyhoo, video aside, now my dear readers have gotten a glimpse of what my Hall looks like and the area around it... yeah, its mainly the bus stop, but at least you saw it.

boo!

Halloween was long over and I'm only posting about it now. Sorry lor... But then, there was nothing much to Halloween. Just the costumes and pics. For my first celebration of Halloween (yes, I have never celebrated Halloween in my entire life - like, what for?) mah gurls and I went to the Student Club called 3Sixty cos we bought tix to their Halloween Party night!

Preparing for the party!

She was super hot that night! Me happy with my artwork! ^_^

Ah Ma went as a were-rabbit. The carrot was too hard, that's why she had blood running down her chin.

Da Jie went as a hot vampire-bitten chick! Oh, those male cheerleaders again!

Wildberry went as a witch. Because she looks retarded with her broom, this is as large as the pic gets.

This Easter Bunny must be confused. Its Halloween, not Easter, u stupid rabbit.

Oh look! A dickhead.

As scary as this pic may be, it still can't beat this... *scroll down*

Stonehenge and Salisbury!

Stonehenge, as the entire universe knows is one of the world's wonders. The myth is that "the stones are believed to be petrified dancing giants who were caught in a sunbeam. The stone circle is said to resemble the giants holding hands, and in folklore is known as the Giants' Ring.

The stones were renown for their healing properties. If you sat under the stones and water was poured over them then your wounds would be healed.

It is supposedly impossible to count all the stones. The devil once bet that no one in the nearby village would be able to come up with the right answer. However, a monk replied 'more than could be told'. The devil angrily threw one of the stones at the monk and it bounced off the back of his foot - the outlying stone was then named the Heel Stone."

Click here to read more --> Stonehenge mythology!

But yeah, I don't see what's so interesting about the Heel Stone. The story is plain lame.

Anyway, the point of this post is not simply the Stonehenge myth; its about me, me, me! I've been to Stonehenge! After hearing and seeing so much of it on tv, I can finally see the stones for myself!

The verdict: uhm... boring.

Took the bus to the outskirt of Salisbury. Got out of bus, it was fucking cold and it didn't help that the wind was super strong that day. Walked around in circles trying to get as near to the stones as I could - yeah, the public was not allowed to be within 100m (I think I'm wrong, but... aih, I dunno lah) of the stones. To be honest, I was expecting some pretty majestic and super huge rocks but Stonehenge was a disappointment. It wasn't that tiny to the point u had to use a telescope to spot it, but it certainly wasn't huge.

We're finally in Stonehenge, baby!

Appetizer of what's to come

Stonehenge!

Hmm... this is such a proper shot. Boring!

At a different angle

We looked 'chill' but it was freezing cold, thanks to the wind!

Nah, Wildberry and stones in the wild

Perfect

Yepp. Stones, stones, stones. Sigh. If the stones quacked, that would've been interesting. But noooo, it had to sit there all day and be stony. Yes, I don't make sense. Whatever. But luckily, after staring at stones, we went to Salisbury town and I would describe it as a very traditional and quaint English town. Here are some of the interesting things in Salisbury town! ^_^

Swan! There were loads of them! Such beautiful creatures!

Isn't it very English?

Cute! ^_^

Mini waterfall under a bridge

Posers

Only in Salisbury

Interesting eh? But let me tell you what was the best; Salisbury Cathedral. Its said that Salisbury Cathedral (click, click) is one of UK's largest gothic cathedrals, dating back to I-don't-know-when. And the place was GORGEOUS! Omg, I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it! The architecture was really so olden day gothic, its simply breathtaking. This is a place which, you'll have to visit for urself to be able to fully grasp the beauty of it.

Trying hard to fit the cathedral into my little camera lens

The statue insisted on holding my hand... I'm such a celeb.

Ah Ma the only one not staring up

Can u spot the humans?

Just because

Within the cathedral cloister

Would u believe me if I told u that this was a graveyard?

Inside the cathedral

Cantik

Stained glass!

Do not be deceived by its smooth surface; its a water fountain!

We walked on 'tombs' - not like we could help it; it was all over the ground! Creepy!

There were also many tombs like these; its not real tombs though. They're merely symbolic.

Such detail! Now we know the dog was a male.

In the North Transept

Fooling around when we shouldn't. Kids, do not do this at home. Ur mother might whack u.

Pipe organ!

More symbolic tombs

Praying...

Chilling...

Confessing... Pfftt!

Me, me, me. So what? This is my blog.

We complement the statues. Ahem.

Mel should get an Oscar! LOL!

Lighting a candle - you must pay. No money, no candle. T_T

Posing inside the cathedral. Tsk, tsk. How indecent. :-P

After touring the cathedral, each person was given a free cuppa hot tea/coffee and one home-made butter cookie. The cookie was absolutely yummy! I want mooooorreeee...

I ruined my image taking this pic cos the aunty asked if I was alright... *sweats*

To end this post, we met this man from Peru and he was telling us about the Moai statues in Easter Island. If you dunno what that is...

Nah. I wikipedia-ed it for u

Hmmm. I wonder when will I be able to visit it? Sure, its another pile of rocks, but these are more interesting. At least they look like human heads.

^_^
