food hunt

Woke up at around 7am; now that's something seeing that its ME we're talking about... Had to go with Naima to search for Shook Lin & Bok.

After reaching Raja Chulan, we realised that we had to walk quite a distance to the building. Oh gosh, the streets would surely be bustling with lots and lots of people on weekdays and I pray that we will make it on time for our first day of work!

Or else, seilorrrrhhhhhh...

Since both of us haven't had our breakfast yet, we went on a mini food hunt in Petaling Street and it turned out to be not-so-mini. Shit. There goes my diet... again. But, I still enjoyed it! Ehehehehe...

We spotted this porridge stall where a lot of people were eating and we decided to give it a try. Hey, if there's many people there it means that the porridge must be quite good. And it also doesn't hurt that the stall famous for its air mata kucing was nearby.

So down we sat and ordered.

All for only RM5!

Oh wow... it tasted not bad, plus its cheap! A bowl of porridge costs RM1.30 and the plate of add-ons costs RM1.20 per person. Of cos it depends on how much fu-chuk, chun-kuen etc. etc. that you put on the plate lar...

After a while, we realised that there were two porridge stalls in the same row which we were sitting and we actually went to the other stall as opposed to the one that we wanted to try out.

-_-" what the hell...

And I did wonder how come our bowl of poridge was considerably smaller. Oh well, I stick by what I said earlier. The porridge was not bad. At least its cheap!

Afterwards, we bought the air mata kucing and walked around Petaling Street.

Naima looking extremely pleased holding 2 cups of "air mata kucing"!

And we came to this stall where delicious i-don't-know-wht-its-called snacks were sold. Apparently, this stall was featured before in food mags and newspapers for selling the best i-don't-know-wht-its-called snacks.

For a small portion, it costs RM3. I caught the stall aunty in action. Fuiyoh! She was damn yao ying while cutting up the stuff.

Aunty needs a break! No kit kat, so have to settle for a plastic-bagged drink!

Not long afterwards, we passed by this stall selling soya milk and tau fu fa and a bunch of phographers - they were professionals, mind you - zoomed into their soya milk and clicked away at the stall. Now we all know what that means... Hehehehe...

So Naima and I returned there before we left and I bought a cup of soya milk for RM1 only whereas Naima got herself a bowl of tau fu fa for RM1 also. Cheap and tastes great!

"Mua" enjoying the soya milk~~

Naima slurping down on the "tau fu fa"!

That's all folks!

Tip: If you are on a tight budget and wanna go food hunting, go for places that sell cheap yet tasty food! Yumm!
