berry, anyone?: law dinner

This year, we had a Law Dinner instead of a Law Ball. I have to say kudos to the people who organised it cos the food was great and although the place was small and faraway and had a stupid name - Halia (translate: Ginger) - there was a nice ambience to it. The bloody reclusive restaurant was hidden in the Sime Darby Convention Centre or whatever Shit Hotel if I'm not mistaken and only God knows where its location was.

Well, prior to the dinner, we heard that it was going to be a barbecue. And my initial reaction was "What the fark!" I ain't gonna pay money for food which I cannot eat, let alone food which I have to prepare myself. Furthermore, I don't want to leave for the after-party smelling like bbq-ed chicken with my make-up all melted. I prefer to hit the club looking hot and gorgeous, thank you.

But my friends' insistence got to me and I agreed to go. Apparently, silence was a "Yes" to Ah Ma. Whatever. I gotta show some respect to the lao za bor. A word of caution to my dear readers - what is a Law Dinner without tons of camslutting? Hehehe. Brace your eyes.

All that camwhoring made us hungry. We were more than ready for dinner and guess what! Instead of a ridiculous barbecue, we were served a Mongolian Buffet! How's that for authenticity?

Erm, Wildberry apologises profusely because she did not take pics of the scrumptious and absolutely delicious food. Her friends' and her appetites got the best them and they ate shamelessly, forgetting to take pics beforehand. In any case, Mongolian Buffet consisted of lots and lots of meat. I'm not kidding. We were served bbq-ed sausages, beef and lamb, chicken loafs, bacon wrapped around chicken, etc. That's considered the appetizers, ladies and gentlemen. For the main course, we had to go to this counter where you select the meat of your choice plus some other ingredients and the chefs will cook it on the spot for you!

And for dessert, we had chocolate fondue, delicious cakes made from chocolate, cheese etc., a variety of puddings and flavors and flavors of ice cream!
