Never in my life would I guess that I'd be surprised in such a way. I suppose that's why it was called a surprise, haha! It was soooo touching that it actually reduced me to tears. Tears on my birthday! But hey, it was tears of joy!
:~)
Backtrack to the morning of 5/3/2008. Went to class about 5 min late... Ok, fine! 10 min late lah! During break, Ah Ma had the audacity to ask me "Why dress so nice ah today? What's the special occassion?" and to which I suppressed the urge to strangle her with a nonchalant "Nothing". Murdering a useless old woman was not a good way to start the 22nd year of my life, no matter what.
*Runs away from Ah Ma* Hehehehe!
Then, had to stay back after class for a debate meeting. In the meeting, I witnessed the spectacle of Tua Ne Bu who kept quiet throughout the entire session until the part where Maria said "Traybearers - all you need to do is stand there and look pretty!" This perked Tua Ne Bu up tremendously and she secured the job in a nanosecond.
-_-"
After the meeting, we all went our separate ways cos everyone had much work to do with regard to our f*ing presentation next week. Luckily, I made plans the night before! I was determined not to make it a sad night for me! Hohohoho!
But surprise, surprise! My bro called me up and he's treating me to TGIF! Woohoo! Da Jie dropped us off in Pyramid (thanks, babe!) and it was straight to my second round of lunch! I ordered a 3-course meal which nearly killed me cos the portions were sooo huge! But it was delicious!

Appetizer: Mac n' Cheese Bites!

Main dish: Chicken Parmesseau something something...

Dessert: Ice cream fudge

Yum!

My bro's order: Steak something something...
The drinks!

Heineken, obviously. Duh~

Mango and Berry Cocktail! It was berry-licious! Sluurp!
After TGIF, I bumped into Ms Crazy on my way home and I have to say, I really missed her crazy antics. 124E has been really quiet without her around. Then we went back to my apartment where we waited for my daughter to come, cos we were supposed to have dinner together!
Suddenly there was knock, knock! "Open the door, Samanthaaaaaa!" Weird. Why would my daughter be calling me Samantha instead of mama? So I took my keys and opened the door to screams of "Surprise!!!" and a sweet serenade of Happy Birthday.
And I bawled like a baby.
Why? Because my best friends and ex-housemates who were so dear to me were standing at the doorway holding a cake lighted with candles and a beautiful box of present. And to think that I might not be seeing them before I left for UK. I was happy enough to receive birthday wishes from them cos I understand that they lived quite far from where I'm at and that everyone was busy. But this surprise simply took my breath away and I couldn't help the tears from falling. And I couldn't stop hugging them. It was one of the best surprises ever.
*tears*
Apparently, Ms Crazy knew of the surprise cos she was in contact with them since I-dunno-when. That girl! She's crazy, but she's also very sweet. Awww...
Ihihihihi...

My birthday cake
The Stick-The-Candle-Into-The-Cake-And-Get-It-Out-with-Ur-Mouth tradition. Omo!
Beautiful Portrait

My 'Box of Love' where I kept all my presents
Then it was off to Pyramid again for the second leg of celebrations! First off, it was Kim Gary for dinner.

Ms Crazy very happy to hold a drink
Daughter, father and mother (ahem!)

My ji-muis
A green drink to match her green shirt
This is my slice and you cannot have it!
Next, it was camwhoring session around Pyramid! Ohohoho!

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Pinky and May were the first to leave cos they had early lectures the next morning which they could not skip.
*Sobs*
After they left, the rest of us wanted to catch a late night movie and we were deciding which movie to watch when a guilty pang hit Ms Crazy. And she leaked to me that my housemates in 124E were waiting for me to go back to celebrate with me cos they actually bought me a cake!
Omo! So we rushed back for the next celebration!

It was very sweet of them cos I never expected them to buy me a cake, and it was chocolate too! Then, after stuffing ourselves with more cake, my ex-housemates and I went to Asia Cafe to buy pirated dvds and had a movie marathon in my daughter's apartment! Fyi, we watched Meet The Spartans and Lust, Caution.
To be honest Meet The Spartans wasn't as funny as expected - it was extremely stupid and non-sensical. No wonder people told me that their IQ dropped one notch after watching it. But no doubt, Carmen Electra was hot in the movie and boys would surely go gaga. However, Lust Caution was very, very good! The plot was so entrancing and the love story was simply heart-wrenching. And it was filmed in such an artistic way; the steamy sex scenes were in no way slutty or porny. But its definitely not for the faint-hearted!
*Evil laughs*
Yes, after the movie marathon Ms Crazy and I went back to get a few hours of sleep while the rest of them slept over at Daughter's place. And thus, my bday celebration was over. It may be over, but it shall be treasured forever!
Hey girls and ji-muis, I love u all sooooo much! Muaks~~~ (I miss them already! T_T)
I have to say, the Lord has been kind to me this year cos He gave me a great birthday! First, with mah gurls on 29/2/2008, then with my bro, followed by such a touching surprise and then with my current housemates... Oh wow! Ok, I'll have to go to church this week.
>.<
